R. ANTONOFF

Rachel Antonoff's latest collection is me in a nutshell. I mean, truly...it's quite amazing: flower crowns, excessive lilac ( the lilac blouse in the first picture below is amazing!), ballet shoes; flowing, waved, romantic hair; hour-glass sillouettes and dainty floral prints. I would wear nothing but this collection if I could...its just beautiful.
Also, the amazing Sarah Sophie Flicker is modelling in the lookbook!

Pretty Lula

Heres some various Lula-related pictures. How that publication makes my life complete;
check out the stockings and shoes in the last picture! ah!
I still haven't found my heart-prints, sad face indeed.
au revoir

minilor

This is quite honestly the inevitable state of my spawn, little zowie/seyton/reina.
My loin fruit, you could say. Though my loin fruit could never, ever turn out so blonde and tanned.

um, i'm sorry....girl crush!

What. a. babe. That is all that has to be said. Knightcat posted these pictures a couple of days ago, and my research has lead me to the fact that her name is Jacqueline. That is all....but seriously, that tanned skin, dark hair and light eyes...oh! I also really, really want her hair. Anyone know who she is? She reminds me so much of Olivia Hussey, Juliet from Franco Zeferelli's Romeo and Juliet from the sixties...one of my favourite movies, i'll admit.
I am a Shakespeare nerd. ♥

I wish oh I wish

I have been on the search for the perfect white blouse for over a year now. The collar is the definitive aspect...I would love a peter-pan collared shirt that I would match with skirts or denim shorts for summer that would create a relaxed, yet charming little look. What I really want to find, however, is a white shirt with a beautiful, Edwardian-inspired collar, full of ruffles and pleats and tucks and bows and such. Imagine a giant doily around your neck, and that's what I love. The blouse below is perfection, seen on Sasha Pivovarova.
Lula magazine also shows them a lot in their editorials (which is where the other two images are from), I think Leigth Clarke is a bit like me with her tendency to love slightly nanna inspired apparel.

bronzed sequins

B r o n z e B a b e ♥
A bronze sequined cloak is what is missing from my cupboard, this is lovely. Its vintage from a great American online store called Nastygal CHECK.
I think I could rock a eccentrically gorgeous look with this...maybe my finances shall allow it...

sewing a skirt with my friend Izzie.

♥ ♥
I had the most lovely day yesterday with my best friend Izzie. We went op shopping again and I bought some crazily cute fabric..it's royal blue with little white hearts on it. I decided to make a skirt from it...all it took was 1.5 meters of the fabric (although now, after making it, I think I used too much fabric, for someone with similar measurements to me I think 1.25m would be adequate) and some elastic to make the band. It was also a lovely chance to use my new lilac heart pins.

LWD

The L i t t l e W h i t e D r e s s ♥
I have recently fallen in love with the prospect of owning a lovely little white dress, Charles Anaste style. I would really prefer a vintage one...perhaps one from the seventies, or a re-creation of a twenties-style dress with a drop waist and plenty of ruffles. I am in awe of the dress below- the silhouette and the lace is so romantic and beautiful.

I also love these looks from Chanel and Charles Anaste...I think the Chanel is a little more structured than I would desire, but its still pretty.

pearls&&flowers

I am wearing a pearl headband from Sportsgirl, t-shirt from Myer and the skirt is vintage. This is the skirt I bought last week, it was $4.50 and floor length, so I hemmed it.
I love the large floral print, and the hints of lilac of course!

magnifiqueZOOEY

Zooey is by far my favourite person in the public eye.

I may name my first born after her.... but I would spell it as such:
"Zowie".
Cause that's the name of David Bowie (another hero of mine)'s son.
Yes, his son is called Zowie Bowie...then he changed his name to Duncan Jones.
What a fun sucker.

hellok

I really want a hiptop. I would pimp it out like this fo sho; with Japanese phone bling, it would be quite lovely.

and all of the night.

Last night I went to a Ducktails gig with Samm, Kate, Oli and Tim. Ducktails was really good, until the power got cut off. The two supporting bands: Pimmon and Knitted abyss sounded, as kate described, like a crab committing suicide.

Izzie, Samm and I spent the day yesterday hitting up numerous op shops. I spent a grand total of 33 dollars, and I bought shoes, three tops, a cardigan, shorts and a skirt. Oh how I love little op shop villages.

weekday a/w 09

I love Swedish brand WEEKDAY. I actually own somthing from there, my favorite shirt, my blue + white striped one. This is their current collection, I love the relaxed feel, all the chunky knitwear and the allusions to the 90s grunge era. I also see a little bit of Swedish blogger influence here, the hat is very Amanda from Modernieter, no? CHECK. (the fourth post down)
I don't really like the many-buckled shoes though, most certainly not my style....but I do love the plain boot wedges!

jewelledallover♥

♥ ♥ ♥
Yesterday when I was a work, I bought these amazing stockings! I work in a vintage shop, and I came across these a few weeks ago, but I weirdly looked past them. They are quite amazing. They are a very thin, sheer-like white stocking...with little blue rhinestones all over them! I have never seen anything like them! I have sort of been in love with the idea of embellished stockings ever since Rodarte and Mui Mui showed them a couple of seasons ago, but these are kind of a mix between my current obsession with polka dot/heart-print tights and embellished stockings. I am a little worried about wearing them out a lot, due to the fact that they are so fragile and old, my heart will break if they get a ladder, but then again I think, whats the point of having them if I aren't to wear them? I just have to be careful, wish me luck!
au revoir.

POPTEEN

P o p t e e n
Today my mother arrived home from work with the prettiest bag with the best contents possible, all ready for me. My mother has the hook-up, having a friend who is Japanese who she struck a deal with while ago...so whenever her friend returns home from Japan, she brings pop-teen magazine along with her. I blogged about Popteen back when I was fresh from returning from Japan HERE . It is an adorable and aesthetically pleasing, quintessentially Japanese magazine.
The models are just gorgeous, despite them being rather fake-looking, due to Japan's obsession with perfection.
The pages are filled with cute peace sign poses and crazy Japanese fashion, if you can get your hands on it- i recommend getting it! The layouts are so garnished, full of little cartoon hearts and sparkles. So great to look at.
This issue will bring me hours of amusement...despite me being unable to read Japanese.
au revoir.

F F F FRIDAY

Last week I was able to cross off one point on my 'summer wish list' found here. I bought a denim shirt! Its very exciting, and due to my being, well, gravitationally advantaged, it is very long on me. I got it from a store which has by far the worst service in history, the girls who worked there were so rude! The shop is called 'forecast'. I think it's an Australian shop only. It's a shop I don't usually visit, but I did last week as I was in search of a pair of shorts which are copies of the Chloe scalloped-edged shorts, they didn't have them, but I will return later and see if they have arrived. I have also been frantically looking for my heart print stockings and I can't find them anywhere!? Anyone from Sydney know where a girl can find a pair of heart print nylons?
au revoir.
