I see, Tenessee

T e n e s s e e Thomas ! ♥

is one amazing woman. She dresses impeccably- -she's a true muse to me! She is right up there with Alexa Chung and Zooey Deschanel on my style stalking scale I think. Haven't heard of her?
That' s cause shes one of those out-but-still-sorta-in-the-lime-light celebrities, the type I adore. She is probably best known as the drummer for the indie girl band, The Like...or for dating Mark Ronson. I, however, became introduced to her through her collaboration with Lula Magazine and the Belles of The Black Diamond Field, as she starred in one of their films.
Please enjoy her prettiness- and her collection of collars and hosiery! ah!

also, happy valentines day all.

photography #2

♥
Again, none of these are taken by me, just like the first random picture update that I posted a couple of days ago---
I do apologize for my negligent blogging of late. The renovations being done to my house were supposed to take two weeks...currently, I have been nomadic for over a month. Yesterday, I finally went back home, sleeping on the couch, sans internet. The house isn't anywhere near finished but it now tolerable enough for one child to move back in to their home. So right now, I sit at Newtown Gloria Jeans, enjoying my free 40minutes of internet, after my purchase of a white hot chocolate with caramel---yum!

The pictures are just images from my "p r e t t y " folder on my computer, I posted pretty much all of my images from that folder with people in it.
I love pretty much every single outfit that is in these pictures!
P.S I just want to say a h a p p y b i r t h d a y to my best friend Kate, who is eighteen today!

stripes + florale

S t r i p e s + f l o r a l
is a combination that was one of my favorites last year. I am not one for sticking with fashion conventions that are really there, I believe, to constrict the imagination that can be used when dressing. There were a few horrible people who didn't really get the whole more-than-one pattern thing and vocally expressed there dislike in my strip-ey /floral-ey combo, but I don't care! I think they look sweet together- especially with tousled hair with a sneaky braid in it! I'm wearing:

s k i r t - home sewn.

b e l t -vintage.

Tonight I pass onto you some pretty images I have acquired from various sources. Hope they inspire you, like they do me. I think I have a little bit of silent movie on the mind right now, if it wasn't already obvious.

third of the second

♥ L u n a + h e r m i o n e

Today, we sort of officially became seniors. We got our jerseys. In the picture is Kate and I. I am Luna Lovegood and Kate is Hermione Granger, because we are Harry Potter nerds like that. Some might call it embarassing that two seventeen-going-on-eighteen year olds would opt for Harry Potter in jokes on their year twelve jerseys, I call it brilliance.
Today was a lovely day, school was more pleasant than usual, probably because everyone was so excited about Jerseys. After school I went to the library and read some Wordsworth and Byron, had an amazing time of it, too! Then I went to dinner with my dad. Nice little day all in all, really.

au revoir!

T h e Virgin Suicides ! ♥

This is a little bit of an unusual post,
some might say. After watching the amazing Sofia Coppala film, The Virgin Suicides for the first time about a month or so ago, I have been in love with it! Not only is the story amazing ( the next book I am reading will be Jeffery Eugenies' The Virgin Suicides, from which the movie is taken) but the movie is so amazingly pretty. The cinematography just enchanted me. I also love the actors involved- Kirsten Dunst is pretty much pure greatness.
Somthing else that simultaneously cast me under the spell of Sofia Coppala and The virgin Suicides are the costumes in the film! How beautifully spring of '76 are they? Pretty florals, pastels, chambrays and lace! I am so there!

I'm still in the land of the living

Just thought I'd let you all know that. I should be back in my beloved home in about a week or so, at least I hope so! I'm not feeling all that inspired at the moment, which I am sure you can tell. So sorry about that! I just had my first day of year twelve and I am feeling that I really need my desk and my walls back! My walls which were once entirely attacked with gorgeous polaroids, drawings of crabs, shots from my Lomo and baby pictures....oh wait, that and sequins. After three weeks, I think I am feeling a little home sick!
Hope to be with you soon!
